Work

A few samples of my work.

CALO Health

CALO Health’s design concentrated on one of my favourite aspects of design, simplicity; I wanted to create an impact as well as construct a visually simplistic website. CALO health allowed me to stretch my design muscles as the clients were very open and receptive of my design views; overall it was a good experience.

FESA/DFES web application

FESA (or Fire and Emergency Services Association) now the DFES (Department of Fire and Emergency Services) commissioned the help of our University to come up with a web application to help their on-site officers conduct safety checks on various things. In this instance I was the developer in a team of 4 tasked with creating this web application.

The application was to be built using only HTML, CSS & JS, with a focus on IE8 compatibility.

Prizzm

A bit of background In September 2011, the AngelPad start-up in San Francisco, Prizzm (now MightBuy) hired, and relocated me for 2.5 months, to design their new product's user interface and experience. This is one of my most exciting projects, not only because of the kind of work, but it was my first time witnessing and participating in the "start up scene".

Prizzm was an application where you can store products you've bought and track your interactions with the company who made the those products. Prizzm was to also include a social, sharing what you've bought and the complaints (or reviews) of the products.

This application was built on Ruby on Rails, which exposed me to a new programming language as well as the template language, HAML.

Twitter2Prizzm

A bit of background In September 2011, the AngelPad start-up in San Francisco, Prizzm (now MightBuy) hired, and relocated me for 2.5 months, to design their new product's user interface and experience. This is one of my most exciting projects, not only because of the kind of work, but it was my first time witnessing and participating in the "start up scene".

This was a side project of Prizzm's, with the aim of storing the twitter interactions between you and a company (or whoever else you want). The main concept was that on twitter you would be able to tweet with the #prizzm tag and all replies would be stored in Prizzm. This allowed you to reply with longer messages, attach relevant documents and pick a resolution.

Tammy and Shane’s wedding

I was quite excited when my sister told me that I could put together her wedding website, so I pulled most of the stops on this project.

I designed the site, I even built a custom RSVP system and a Registry checklist that people can browse and select items they will buy; all on the CodeIgniter framework.

Catholic Youth Ministry

Catholic Youth Ministry is the official agency supporting and promoting youth ministry in the Archdiocese of Perth. In working for CYM I designed, built and currently maintain their existing website, manage their social media and in some cases provided art direction for posters/eDM's.
